CSGA

Welcome to the Cornish Seniors Golfing Association website.  CSGA was formed in 1972 to promote Senior Golf in Cornwall.
The main aims of the Association are:
to promote comradeship and golf for Senior Gentlemen in Cornwall
to organise meetings and competitions.

Competitions

There are at least 6 events each year held at clubs throughout the county between April and October and played as a pairs betterball.
One event is a Mixed meeting (partner must be a Senior Lady golfer) for the Hilda Williams Salver and uses a Rye Greensomes format.  This differs from the usual Greensomes format in that one player plays all the 2nd shots on even numbered holes and the other on odd numbered holes.  The handicap allowance is 60% of the lower and 40% of the higher.

The cost of each event is about £40 to include golf, food and prizes.  Individual entries are acceptable and theSecretary will endeavour to find a “pair”.

There is also an annual fixture against the Gentlemen Golfers of Devon played on a home and away basis in mid-May.

The competitions are listed in detail on the Events page and calling notices, start times and results will appear on the Home page as appropriate.

Membership

New members are always most welcome.  The only conditions are – you must be a full playing member of a Cornish golf club and be at least 55 years of age.
The current annual membership is £5.00.
For more details contact your local Club Rep or the Secretary.

Committee

The Association is run by a committee of 5 Officers (President, Captain, Vice-Captain, Secretary and Treasurer) together with 1 reπresentative from every club in Cornwall and meets in February and November
The Officers are elected at the November meeting.
